Before any material and any shade, the doctor draws one line: the facial axis. Lengths, widths and the smile curve are all built upon it. When the line is right, the result looks as if it was never made at all.
We work to proportions documented in the dental-esthetics literature (Lombardi 1973, Levin 1978), not to the taste of the moment. Measurement first, then decision, then craft.
